Scenarios
Catalina: multi-SKU products, part 2
A multi-line product with components — when several PO lines together make up one thing you sell.
Worked example (coming soon). A second complex-products case from Catalina — the mirror image of Border Concepts. There, one line was many products. Here, several lines combine into one sellable product with components.
The situation
Some products arrive on a PO as their parts: a base, a topper, a fitting — each on its own line, each with its own cost. What you actually sell is the assembled whole. This scenario will walk how Tangerine Star recognizes the component lines, assembles them into one sellable product, and rolls the component costs into the right cost basis.
Full walkthrough in progress.
Border Concepts: a complex assortment
One PO line that's really 27 sellable products — how to model a multi-product assortment so cost and inventory land in the right place.
