How the affiliate program works

The honest mechanics — rates, how you're paid, who's eligible, and why it's a single, direct level (not an MLM).

The Tangerine Star affiliate program lets you earn a share of the subscription revenue from shops you refer. It's deliberately simple and honest — here's exactly how it works.

What you earn

  • Active merchants earn 20% of what their referred shops pay in subscription fees.
  • Independent partners earn 10% (for example, an influencer who isn't running a shop on Tangerine Star).
  • If your own subscription lapses, your rate moves to 10% until you're active again.

You earn on actual subscription revenue collected from shops that stay — never on hardware, and never on sign-ups that don't stick.

How you're paid

It accrues as you go

Each month a referred shop pays, your share accrues. Annual plans pay you monthly — one-twelfth of the annual commission each month across the year — so it tracks the shop actually staying.

Credit first

Your earnings are applied as credit toward your own subscription first. Many affiliates never need to do anything else — the credit just lowers their bill.

Cash out the surplus

If you earn more than your own subscription costs, you can withdraw the surplus. That's the only point where we ask you to complete payment verification — to pay you, not to sign up.

Who can join

Anyone — there's no buy-in to start. Merchants and independent partners both welcome. You get a personal referral link and QR code from your account.

One level, not a pyramid

You earn on the shops you personally refer. That's the whole structure: a single, direct level. There's no second tier, no earning on other affiliates' referrals, and nothing tied to recruiting. It's an affiliate program, not an MLM — and we'd rather say so plainly.
